The three leaders have vowed to continue with their presidential campaigns amid region unity calls by Ukambani leaders and professionals.
Today Kitui governor Charity Ngilu has revealed her preferred presidential candidate from the region. The governor was speaking today during the launch of county livestock carriers. She said that Wiper party leader Kalonzo Musyoka is the best candidate from the region who can win presidency.
The first term governor advised the former vice president Kalonzo Musyoka to form political alliances with ODM party chief Raila Odinga and other like minded leaders ahead of the next general election. The governor further accused Kitui senator Enock Wambua for misleading Kalonzo Musyoka to vie for presidency alone.
Governor Charity Ngilu called the other two presidential candidates to fully support Kalonzo Musyoka presidential bid. She urged Machakos governor Alfred Mutua and Makueni governor Kivutha Kibwana to rally behind Kalonzo Musyoka.
