As the country heads to the 2022 general election, Raila Odinga has been banking more on President Uhuru Kenyatta's Mt. Kenya region. He knows well enough that if he gets the support of that vote rich region, then he will have a big chance of securing presidency and the good thing is that many people in Raila's camp are confident that President Uhuru will support them.
While that is the case, a twist of events has left many Kenyans claiming that there is looming tears in Raila's camp. That is because Aden Duale came out publicly to leak details of secret conversations that he has been having with President Uhuru Kenyatta.
"More than 20 times I have asked President Uhuru Kenyatta if he has an issue with Deputy President William Ruto and he says he has no problem. I've also asked him whether he has another preferred candidate, and he asked me in my face, where did I say that William Ruto is not my candidate?" Said Aden Duale.
If that is the case, then anything can happen. President Uhuru Kenyatta can either endorse Raila or even decide to endorse Deputy President William Ruto and if he does that, then Baba's camp will probably be in tears.
