This is the year of vote hunt, as you can see the 2022 general election is fast approaching and politics has started to hit the ground for vote search missions. We have seen pictures of MPs carrying children pretending to be ' one of us' , but Kenyans are not stupid because they know why they are doing it.
A few days ago we saw the former government in Nairobi helping the people of Homa Bay with plowing and it really stirred the internet. Getting back to the subject, former Prime Minister Raila Odinga has pitched his tent in the Mount Kenya region, seeking to woo the region to back his presidential votes ahead of the 2022 presidential bid.
Yesterday he visited Kiambu County with Governor James Nyoro and they launched the Kigumo Level 4 Sub- County Hospital. The governor also told the crowd that he had come to meet Raila who brought an x- ray machine that will be able to help the people of Kiambu and that they will not travel very far if it is not for this service.
But famous blogger Cyprian Nyakundi denounced former Prime Minister Raila Odinga and Kiambu Governor James Nyoro. The blogger took to his social media platform to claim that the level 4 hospital in Kigumo had no equipment and that everything was a game plan between the two leaders to convince the people of Kiambu that Raila had helped them.
" Wasapere wanacheswa. A hospital was opened without equipment in Kiambu, with a logo of Kiambu County, but ' given' by Raila Odinga. Tell him to stop insulting his collective intelligence. But again, you are the same idiots who voted by Uhuru by Ben Githae, " the controversial blogger said.
He went on to say that the hospital is a county government project and bears the Kiambu County logo and that they claimed to have been donated and commissioned by Raila Odinga. This is the kind of hypocrisy that politicians treat us with. This exhibition might not bode well for residents of Kiambu County.
Popular TV news anchor Yvonne Okwara commented on a region ODM party leader Raila Odinga could lose ahead of the 2022 general election. According to the Citizen TV News presenter, the former prime minister could lose one of his former strongholds in the coastal region after several presidential candidates made forays into the region.
Okwara called recent defections to Vice President William Ruto' s camp by various leaders in the coastal region as an indication that ODM could quickly lose popularity in the region before 2022.
