IEBC Chairman Wafula Chebukati while addressing press Thursday broke the silence over Sakaja's degree saga.

In his statement,Wafula Chebukati has asked court to clear Sakaja's case to enable ballot papers printing.

Chebukati says if the court will delay on the case, they have no option but to include Johnson Sakaja's name.

"I ask the court to clear cases before time catches on us. For the candidates we had cleared and were taken to court for us we have no option but to include their names in ballot printing. If the court won't clear Sakaja for us we don't have an option but to include his name," says Chebukati

The IEBC chairman also cleared the air over claims that he has links with Bungoma Senator Moses Wetangula.

Chebukati has asked politicians not to profile IEBC commissioners.

"I have seen some media stations trying to profile IEBC commissioners. I have seen some accusing me of having links with Wetangula. Let me state it that we don't have instructions from anyone. I don't know what they're talking about. We're an independent institution."

On Thursday,IEBC received the first batch of ballot papers that arrived in the country.
