Since politics is a game of interests,a person might decide to stay or leave any political group at their own pleasure without the need to seek validation from anyone.
This is the current situation at the deputy president William Ruto's United Democratic Alliance (UDA) after allegations that Elgeyo Marakwet senator Kipchumba Murkomen has left the camp just months before the 2022 general elections.
Murkomen who has been Ruto's right hand might have called it quits with UDA if claims by Nairobi city top lawyer Donald Kipkorir is anything to go by.
Kipkorir who is a strong critic of dp Ruto alleges that Murkomen might have chosen to leave UDA after several considerations within the camp.
Although there has been no official communication from the senator who has stood with the dp for so long, Kipkorir says that the legislator has went missing in action on matters of the party over the recent past concluding he is no longer on Ruto's side.
We are still waiting for him to make an official statement on the allegations that he quit UDA by either confirming exit or refuting these rumours.
Murkomen is a strong pillar in Ruto's camp hence leaving would be a huge loss to tangatanga and its members.
Do you think Murkomen could desert the dp at such a time when he is needed most?
