Trouble looms for president Ruto as a petition is filed challenging PSs vetting

President William Ruto has been dealt another setback as a lobbying organization filed a new suit to contest his move. This comes after a guy filed a plea to halt the vetting of Principal Secretaries, which is set to take place tomorrow. Mr. Maina noted in his appeal that one of the PS, Sylvia Muhoro, was not among the 585 applicants. The inclusion of Ms Muhoro on the list has called into question the team's overall competitiveness.

The National Assembly's vetting of principal secretaries (PSs), which was set to begin tomorrow, may now be halted as a result of this petition to have the shortlisting of the 52 nominees annulled for failing to reach the constitutional standard. Lawyer Sheillah Mengesa submitted the petition under a certificate of urgency, claiming that one of the 52 candidates on President William Ruto's list had not been questioned by the Public Service Commission (PSC).
