Guy-Brice Parfait Koleas who is sixty years old has succumbed to covid 19 shorlty after he was anmoinced to contract the disease. He was the main rival of president Dennis Sassou Nguesso passed on while in the plane to France for treatment.
His death has come at the time when the Congolese are in the election mood. Few moments before the comencement of elections in that country, the opposition leader posted a video where he alleged that his condition is worsening and he was fighting death. These are the exact words he ittered in that video clip;
''My dear compatriots, I am in trouble, I am fighting death, but nevertheless I ask you to stand up. Go and votefor change. I will not have fought for nothing. Fight for it. I will not have fought fir nothing.''
Mr Kolelas emerged is said to have come out as the most suitable opponent to the current president for this polls which the Congolese have gone to the ballot amidst this pandemic. It is said that he was determined of change where he wanted to take it from the current president who is 77 years of age.
