Deputy President William Ruto has evoked attacks from President Uhuru and Raila Odinga camps after stating that he can take the whole of their combined team head-on and defeat them in the 2022 presidential elections.
What even angered the handshake supporters is when he declared that he does not need coalitions to win the Presidency the way Raila likes to operate.
One furious blogger affiliated to Raila Odinga’s camp, Philip Dikembe Disembe was angered by Ruto’s sentiments mocking politicians who surround the President seeking endorsements and fond of meeting in hotels to conduct their campaigns.
Dikembe reacted and told the DP that he spent over 8 years hovering around President Uhuru and furthermore, the hotel meetings Ruto is now bashing is ridiculous because his own Weston Hotel in Nairobi harvested a lot of millions due to hosting a lot of government-sponsored workshops and seminars for years.
“William Ruto spent more than 8 years hovering around Uhuru. Ruto’s Weston hotel hosted GoK ministry workshops/meetings/seminars for years earning him millions. William Ruto today doesn’t want people to hover around the President or sit in hotels,” he wrote.
