Uasin Gishu County Woman Representative Hon Gladys Boss Shollei who doubles as the National Assembly Deputy Speaker, has dismissed reports that President William Ruto is influencing the Justice and Legal Affairs Committee (JLAC) especially his allies to remove the four dissenting Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) commissioners, who opposed his win as president in the August 9 general elections.

Speaking to the members of the press conference as reported by Citizen Digital, Shollei dismissed the claims by the opposition arguing that the president is not a member of the JLAC committee in the National Assembly. Hence he has say on the petition hearing process of of the JLAC committee in parliament. Therefore even his tweets about that matter have no significant on how the members of that committee will make their final decision and judgement.
