The 2022 politics has gathered momentum across the country. Aspirants and key political figures are currently transversing different parts of the country to popularize themselves with voters. Others have begun moving from one political party and joining others as they seek ways of clinching their dream seats.
However, much attention will focus on the presidential election race that will involve key political figures that will go head to head come August 2022. The race is perceived to be a two horses race between ODM leader Raila Amolo Odinga and Deputy President Dr. William Samoei Ruto among other aspirants who wants to succeed President Uhuru Kenyatta.
Key Mudavadi ally Titus Khamala who is a member of Parliament for Lurambi Constituency has come out and admitted that Kakamega county is currently under DP Ruto's UDA party. In a video that has been circulated on social media, the man of God admits that it is UDA that is giving political figures headaches in the region, giving them ANC stiff competition in defending their seats.
Kakamega county is among the ANC stronghold zones where Musalia Mudavadi enjoys a lion's share of support followed by Raila Odinga. Weeks ago the deputy President visited the area and urged residents to embrace his new political party UDA come 2022.
ANC Musalia Mudavadi is another leader who has declared his interest in succeeding President Uhuru Kenyatta come 2022. He will have to battle it out with DP Ruto in Kakamega County and the entire Western Kenya region.
