Ruth Odinga, Asks Women From Nyanza to Deny Their Men Conjugal Rights Until They Register as Voters

Raila's sister, Ruth Odinga, has urged women from Nyanza to deny their husbands conjugal rights untill they register as voters.

According to reports, Ruth claimed that most men from the region are very vocal about supporting their local politicians but very reluctant whe it comes to registering as voters. She now wants women from the region to unite and agree on ensuring their husbands register by denying them their rights.

Her remarks comes few days after ODM party leader Raila Odinga opined that individuals eligible to register as voters to be denied food until they register. Speaking in Homa Bay County, the leader claimed that majority of the people from the region, especially the youths, are very ignorant in registering as voters.

Raila went ahead and warned on shelving his presidential candidature out if the region fails to hit the target number set by the IEBC.

The current mass voter registration exercise began on January 17, 2022, and will be concluded on February 6, 2022.
