Fomer Kakamega senator Boni Khalwale has taken to the social media expressing his joy after Kakamega residents shunned away from the BBI public participation meeting.
In Photos uploaded by the politician a number of people were seen seated in a hall with a majority of chairs still empty.
The government has been trying to educate kenyans from all coners of the country on the importance of BBI.
However some seem to be headed in a different direction as they avoid the report by all means possible.
Currently several county assemblies have passed the contentious report when only one has rejected the bill.
Uhuru kenyatta and his ally Raila Odinga have been touring different parts of the country requesting kenyans to support and also read the bill.
On the other hand the deputy president William Ruto and his close friends have been urging kenyans to shun away from report calling for a consensus before the planned referendum.
The past few months have seen political temperatures rising in the country as residents from different parts of the country differ in opinion.
