Embakasi East MP Babu Owino on Friday had a rough time engaging Nyali MP Mohamed Ali alias Jicho Pevu after dragging Deputy President William Ruto to the controversial Kimwarer and Arror Dam scandals.
The two who were appearing on Citizen Tv for a Mid-morning show, debated on who to be blamed for the loss of Kimwarer and Arror dams money, with Owino blaming Ruto, claiming he is the one who brought in former Treasury CS Henry Rotich, who was largely mentioned in the scandal.
And in return, the Nyali MP called out Babu over what he termed as hypocrisy, According to Jicho Pevu, Babu Owino cannot speak about other wrongdoings and scandals in the country, but only concentrate on what Ruto had allegedly done wrong.
"Shida ya hawa watu wa kuzimia, shida yao ni Ruto. Wao kila wakipewa nafasi ni Ruto, DPP clearly said Ruto was not involved in any way. He said the construction of the two dams was a state project. Secondly, Babu Owino cannot speak about Pandora papers because it touches on their boss. He cannot talk about Kemsa because those who ate the money are part of his friends" stated Mohamed Ali
"The same Babu who is lecturing us about the handshake and how to obey the president alimwita Uhuru mtoto wa umbwa, hatujasahau. He cannot speak about NMS county, Nairobi county has become personal property. He cannot stand here and speak about the debt menace in the country, when Kibaki was the president, our debt was so low and he did a lot of developments, they will question what Ruto has done, but I will remind him that when Kibaki was Moi's deputy, he did little but when he took over, he did many things, let's try Ruto" added Mohamed
Owino was left laughing as the Nyali MP deconstructed him.
