Kileleshwa Ward MCA Robert Alai has caused a stir with his recent comments about the Kenya Kwanza Alliance calling it a joke and making serious allegations about its leaders.
In particular, he has accused them of being desperate for a handshake with Former President Uhuru Kenyatta and lacking political power.
He has alleged that President Ruto is begging to meet Uhuru after the Former head of State threatened to go to DCI headquarters and spend the night in the cell with Former CS Fred Matiangi' who was summoned yesterday over alleged raid at his home last month.
Alai's comments came to light after he took to social media to criticize the government's handling of a recent incident involving former Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang'i.
According to Alai, Matiang'i was detained by the police but was released after President Kenyatta threatened to go to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) and sleep in the same cell with him.
Alai also claimed that President William Ruto was "begging" to meet with Former President Kenyatta through his cousins, suggesting that Ruto was desperate for a reconciliation with his former ally.
The allegations have sparked outrage among supporters of the Kenya Kwanza Alliance, who have accused Alai of spreading lies and misinformation. Some have even suggested that his comments were designed to stir up trouble and distract attention from the government's efforts to promote unity and reconciliation in Kenyan politics.
