Government barred from Importing Genetically Modified crops.

The Kenyan high court has now barred the government from importing or distributing genetically modified crops and food until a case filed by the Kenyan peasants league , a social movement.

The Genetically Modified Crops and foodstuffs ban was lifted in response to worst drought in the east African region in 40 years hoping to improve crop yield.

President Ruto, after a meeting with the Cabinet, issued a statement that the lifting of the ban is a response to the drought.

The lifting of the ban has arose different reactions from the citizen including the Azimio Leader Raila Odinga.

Raila claims to fight G.M.O in court and firms across the country.

Raila who once supported G.M.O in Kenya during his time as prime minister claims that new information has emerged sine then in relation to G.M.O. Mostly negative.
