The Kenya Kwanza alliance, led by deputy president William Ruto, Amani National Congress party leader Musalia Mudavadi, Ford Kenya Party leader Moses Wetangula, and PAA party leader Amazon Kingi, will campaign in Raila Odinga's coastal region backyard, Azimio La Umoja, before the August general election.
The team will tour Mombasa County, with the second-in-command expected to attend the Mombasa County Economic Forum on Wednesday, May 25, 2022, which will be hosted by former Mombasa County Senator Hon. Hassan Omar, who is running for Mombasa County Governor on the UDA party ticket.
This is yet another chance for Raila Odinga's deputy, William Ruto, to push his bottom-up economic model to the people of the coastal region, where he hopes to reap significant profits from a land he considers his backyard.
