Matuga Member of Parliament Kassim Tandaza Sawa has now confessed that deputy president Dr William Ruto has a better political platform than any other 2022 presidential hopefuls.
While appearing on TV 47 Kenya Live show on Wednesday morning, Tandaza argued that if he was among the contenders in the State House race, he would not wait for endorsement from the government of the day. In his observation, the current administration had inflicted a number of ills to Kenyans through its alleged failures.
He quipped that a failed government could not be relied on when it comes to backing serious presidential candidate who wanted to succeed in an election.
"If I was vying for presidency in 2022, I wouldn't be waiting for anybody's endorsement especially not from the current government with all the problems it has caused Kenyans. That's why the DP has a better platform," said Tandaza.
According to the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) MP, Dr Ruto's political platform was impressive to him because the second in command had chosen to distance himself from the government and its failures.
The lawmaker's assertions are good news to the DP who is planning to succeed his boss president Uhuru Kenyatta next year because the compliments paints Hustler Nation agenda in good light.
Nevertheless, the claims are bad news to ODM camp where the MP belongs since pundiy could consider it as a prospect of him shifting camp in preparation for 2022 polls.
This comes as presidential aspirants craft agenda's to sell to Kenyans as they seek the highest office in the land.
