United Democratic Alliance party is among the key party players in August general elections . The party on Thursday held a party nominations in 36 counties, the process that was characterized by chaos, tears and confusion.
Among those who were eying for party ticket was Soy Constituency lawmaker Caleb Kositay. Kositany is Ruto's inner circle, he was eying for UDA ticket in quest to succeed Governor Jackson Mandago who is serving in his second and last term in the office.
Kositany dream to succeed Mandago as Uasin Gishu county boss flopped after he emerged at forth place in the race with Julius Chelilim popularly known as Koti Moja winning the race.
On Saturday, during burial of Nandi Constituency parliamentary aspirant Wesley Rotich who lost his life in tragic road accident along Eldoret-Nairobi Highway, Kositany said he has conceded the defeat and he's ready to back UDA nominee ahead of August general elections and concentrate on Ruto's presidential candidature.
He added that losing an election is not end of everything, he will still have another chance in future to fight for his space. According to Kositany, if Ruto wins presidential election he's assured of a space in the government.
" Sio Mwisho wa dunia. If Ruto wins presidential election, there are much more spaces in government to fill," he said.
