Raila Odinga Beats Dp Ruto By A Landslide In Musalia Mudavadi's Backyard

Raila Odinga has garnered majority of votes in Vihiga county which is the backyard of the ANC party leader Musalia Mudavadi.

According to the update by the NTV Kenya, Raila Odinga has won by a landslide in Vihiga despite Mudavadi being a close ally of Dp Ruto who had earlier promised to rally the county behind Ruto.

Raila garnered 143,371 votes while Ruto followed at a distance with 79,722 votes, this was almost two times what Raila Odinga got.

Musalia Mudavadi had promised to deliver over 70% of votes from the western Kenya Region to the Ruto's bucket which has now backfired.

Dp Ruto needed the western Kenya votes to boost his chances of clinching to power despite the western region being known as a stronghold of Raila Odinga.

This comes as kenyans are eagerly waiting for the final announcement from the IEBC chairman Wafula Chebukati as Raila Odinga is currently leading with Dp Ruto following closely.
