It is now less than a year to 2022 General Elections, leaders who have declared their bids for top seats are now in race transversing the country to consolidate their votes ahead of 2022 General Elections. Deputy President William Ruto is among those eying to succeed President Uhuru Kenyatta in forthcoming general elections.
Dp Ruto has invested alot of his time in Mt. Kenya Region, he has been campaigning in the region. On Saturday 4th December 2021, Ruto began his 3-day visit to Nyeri County. He was welcomed to the county by Mathira Member of Parliament Hon. Rigathi Gagachua, Kikuyu Constituency lawmaker Kimani Ichung'wa, Kiharu Constituency Member of Parliament, Malindi Constituency lawmaker Aisha Jumwa among other leaders.
While speaking in Mukurweni Town in Nyeri Town, Dp Ruto posed a question for residents whether they are still supporting the Jubilee Party or his UDA party.
" Bado mko Jubilee ama mumehama UDA , " Dp Ruto posed the question.
" Tuko Jubilee, "Majority of Residents replied.
