Meru Senator Mithika Linturi's 2022 political ambitions seem to be hanging on a beam balance if the recent humiliation he underwent on Sunday in Meru is anything to go by.
This was after the senator was jeered and heckled by a number of Makutano residents in Meru when DP William Ruto introduced and welcomed him to address the crowd that had stopped Ruto's convoy at the town.
However, while introducing leaders who had accompanied him, Ruto gave Linthuri a chance to address the crowd. The senator had a rough time singing the Husker Nation song after the residents shouted him down while waving their hands as a sign of total rejection.
Despite pleading with the residents to hear him out, the jeering grew louder and louder as DP Ruto watched in disbelief.
"I only urge you to hear me just for a minute, we want to do an opinion poll. There are people going around drinking tea in hotels claiming Meru is not UDA. But today we have proved we are all in UDA," stated Mithika as the shouts grew louder
It forced DP Ruto to cut short the senator, who retreated back as the crowd cheers DP Ruto welcoming him into the town.
