Police Issue Statement On Ruto's Visit To Homa Bay As What He Will Do In The Afternoon Is Disclosed

President William Ruto is shortly expected to arrive at Homa Bay town to attend a church service at Homa Bay African inland church (AIC) in what is going to mark his first trip to the region ever since he was sworn into office around three weeks ago.

And now, the national police service has come out to release a statement on the visit by the head of state to the region that is expected to be any time from 10am this morning.

Through, county commissioner for Homa Bay Moses Lilan, the service stated that the head of state will arrive at the town at 10am. This is even as it emerged that the head of state has further plans.

According to a report by The Nation, Ruto will hold a public meeting with residents of Homa Bay later in the afternoon following the church service.

Residents from the region are still coming to terms with the outcome of the August general elections. The region overwhelmingly voted for Azimio la umoja One Kenya coalition party presidential candidate Raila Odinga.
