Uhuru Opens Up On Why He Stopped Working With DP Ruto Amid Reunion Calls Before 2022 Polls

As the Country approaches the looming 2022 general elections, the rift between President Uhuru Kenyatta and Deputy President William Ruto has sent a worrying message to Kenyans with Religious leaders pleading with the two powerful state`s men to consider ending their cold battles.

On Thursday, September 16, 2021, the People Daily publication confirm that the cause of the feud between Uhuru and DP Ruto was engineered by DP Ruto`s disobedience to the head of state after they won for a second term in 2017.

According to the publication, Uhuru is reported to have told the daily that the second in the command used the advantage of his position to launch early campaigns as it was seen in 2018 after Orange Democratic Movement leader Raila Odinga entered the Jubilee government.

Uhuru equally allegedly said that DP Ruto started pressuring him to support his Presidential dreams even before Uhuru`s term came to an end, after which the DP started launching premature 2022 campaigns.

The People Daily equally featured the lamentation of the clergy who claimed that they have tried all their best to see if Uhuru and DP Ruto could come together but the call has been turned down.

The Clergy states that they have been paying both Uhuru and DP Ruto visits to establish the cause of their division and how to resolve it before the next polls.

Kenya`s viral Lawyer and champion of unity, leaders, development, and leadership schemes of African leaders Prof. Patrick Luoch O. Lumumba asked Kenyans to stand out and fight against the negative tribalism before the polls.

On his end, DP Ruto claimed that Uhuru short-changed him with the introduction of Raila into government, adding that he was being fought so that he cannot get access to power come 2022 polls.
