"In Kikuyu Women Don't Bless" Raila Told After a Photo Of Him Kneeling Before a Woman Emerged Online

Raila Odinga is one of the presidential aspirants and he is doing all he can to ensure that he wins after next year's general elections. He has been moving across the country popularising his agenda and seeking support from places of worship.

The biggest competitor he has so far is the Deputy President William Ruto and they are both on the run luring Kenyans to vote for them. Although political rallies and the number of people who attend them don't guarantee votes, they have a right to sell their bid in every part of the country.

Today Sunday 17th of October Raila Odinga decided to visit Mukami Kimathi who is the wife to one of Kenya's freedom fighters Dedan Kimathi.

A photo of him kneeling before Mukami emerged online and Kenyans could not keep their calm. Mukami is seen putting her hands on Raila's head which Kenyans assumed that she was blessing him ahead of next year's elections.

Some of the netizens who understand Kikuyu culture condemned the act saying that only men have the ability to bless people. That women are only capable of cursing and not blessing.

Mathenge Mwangi Signal commented, "In Kikuyu culture women don't bless, they only curse."
