The government has made a great progress in improving mobility of people across the country through construction of more road networks in various parts of the country.
The roads are meant not just to improve mobility but also to enhance economic activities by opening the region for investments.

Currently, the Kenya Kwanza government has made a big step in improving mobility of people in Western Kenya by initiating the construction of a dual carriageway in Busia county.
The contractor of the road in Busia is Kenya Urban Roads Authority (KURA). KURA has already completed the construction of 10-kilometers of the road. The road is meant to decongest the border towns of Busia and Malaba.

Somewhere else, KURA also took a KSh 3.2 billion loan from Spanish government that will be used to construct Ngong'-Naivasha road interchanges.
