Chebukati has made a major announcement concerning those counting Presidential election results. According to the IEBC Chair, the media and all manner of persons are allowed to count the results at both the presidential and others but they must not make a mistake of announcing the winner.

Chebukati is clear that the work of announcing the winner in any Presidential election lies squarely with the commission. This has been announced after Sifuna and a host of other leaders in Azimio moved ahead to claim that the former premier Raila Odinga had won the elections.
Chebukati wants to caution people to count the votes as per the website of the IEBC but not to make a mistake of announcing the winner. According to him, the work of declaring of the person who wins the elections stands with the commission and not outsiders.
Therefore it's clear nobody is allowed to declare of the results from their tally as announcing the results is the work of an independent commission which has decided to be transparent. As always, let's see of how the results will finally tally after the final count by the commission.
