UDA Mp Plans To Draft A Bill To Increase Taxes On Women Products

Kenyans anticipate that President Ruto would keep the promises he made to them throughout the Kenya Kwanza and presidential campaigns.

In an effort to promote a culture of saving, President William Ruto stated today that the government was getting ready to submit various measures to the Senate that would allow unemployed Kenyans to make a small deposit to their savings accounts.

During the State House Thanksgiving event, the Head of State said that the nation will support the practice by matching a portion of each individual's savings with the National Social Security Fund (NSSF).

While the president is working to encourage saving habits, another Nyaribari Chache M.P. named Zaheer Jhanda promised to introduce a bill to the National Assembly that, if approved, would ensure that women contribute a significant amount of revenue by buying cosmetics with high taxes."I'm going to introduce a bill next week that will increase tax on women's products like make-ups, human hair and other beauty and skin care products. This is to ensure the Government raises enough revenue for our country to move forward," Jhanda added.

William Ruto pledged to strengthen the collection of taxes as one of his top priorities, and this will provide the Ruto administration a big boost since it will increase a lot of income.
