Since devolution was launched in the country,the country has had rapid development in all areas of the economy. The most vigorous that has shaken the country is in the infrastructural sector.
Machakos county has held it's head high because of the massive projects that have been rolled out in the county. The most notable of this mega projects was the construction of the Machakos Governor's state house which rivals that of the president of the republic.
The county government of Machakos built the White House at a whopping cost of 350 million Kenyan shillings. The house has two wings. The West wing is reserved for the Governor,Chief of staff and the advisors of the governor.
The East wing is reserved for the First Lady of the county and also features 200 capacity free space for functions and to hold dignitaries paying the governor a visit. It has a large meeting space.
The inside of this building was featured when the cabinet secretary of health, Mutahi Kagwe paid the governor a visit in this palatial office. Below are the photos of the inside of this house.
