Mwai Kibaki, Kenya's former president, died on Friday, February 22nd, at the age of 90. President Uhuru Kenyatta announced his death.
Kibaki, Kenya's third president, will be remembered by many Kenyans for his wit and charisma, which won him many admirers.
Despite being a public figure, he was a humble president and a family guy who kept all his family matters private.
Judy Wanjiku, Jimmy Kibaki, David Kagai, and Tony Githinji are the names of the president's four children, three sons and a daughter, whom he married in 1961 when he was 31 years old.
Jimmy Kibaki, Kibaki's son, is the most popular of Kibaki's children in Kenya due to his interest in politics and desire to carry on his father's legacy.
Judy Wanjiku, his only child, is not well-known because she leads a very discreet life. She was a member of the Kenya Invest Authority's board of directors, as well as Deacon's board and Britam.
Judy served as Kibaki's spokesman until his death, and she was instrumental in keeping the press informed about his father's health.
