Kandara residents will make their decision today to pick their preferred UDA candidate who will run for the member of parliament position next month.
CS Alice Wahome, who resigned after landing a plum position, has told residents to elect a UDA candidate in order to continue with her development track record.
Wahome said she had a preferred candidate. She was however reluctant to make it public. She said that her position as the CS couldn't allow involvement in politics.
" There have been claims that I have been engaging in active politics but this is not the case because my position as the cabinet secretary does not allow me to do so," she said.
UDA candidates who will race for one ticket includes; Raphael Maina, Danson Mwaura, Lucy Nyambura, Andrew Kahenya, Patrick Kibe, James Maina and Evelyn Waithira.
Other candidates are, Francis Macharia, James Karanja, Stephen Mwaura, Titus Njau, Kelvin Kimani and Njuguna Chege.
