Machakos Governor Dr Alfred Mutua speaking in a past political rally.
Machakos Governor Dr Alfred Mutua, has dropped a bombshell to President Uhuru Kenyatta and National Super Alliance (NASA), plot to endorse one of them to succeed him in upcoming 2022 general elections.
Speaking at Embu today a message which he has shared through his Facebook page account, Mutua said that the time has come now for the voters to bring down the long term pliticians, who thinks that they will be continuing to organize themselves every five years and share the top seats.
He said the Kenyans should supprise them in 2022 by voting for someone else apart from their preferred candidate, to become the next president since every Kenyan has a right to vie for presidency and it is not a must that the same big names should appear in every election.
He argued that they have been always thinking that they must sit and organize who will go for presidency, as if that seat was only preserved for them. Therefore, he calls upon the voters to go for another candidate and bring down the long term candidates who have been always being prompted for the top seat.
"Wakati umefika wa kuwafunza funzo hawa mabazu. Wanafikiria kwamba kila wakati lazima wakae chini watupangie ni nani atakuwa Rais. Wakati umefika tuwaonyeshe kwamba mtu yeyote anaweza kuwa Rais was nchi yetu sio lazima watupange na hatuezi kuwa tunapagwa kila wakati." He said.
