Mike Sonko Asks Media Houses To Let Him Enjoy His Life Out Of Politics In Peace

Mike Sonko made a name for himself when he won the Makadara Parliamentary seat in 2010 by- election on a Narc Kenya ticket. This fate was followed by Sonko becoming the first Nairobi County Senator under the new constitution on a TNA Party ticket, flooring Margaret Wanjiru of the ODM party. Mike Sonko was then elected the Nairobi County Governor but was impeached before the lapse of his first term.

The former Nairobi County Governor Mike Mbuvi Sonko, caused a stir when he shared a video of him working in the construction site. This is after a few days ago when he said he suffered a hip injury, which could not have allowes him to pull the wheelbarrow. Sonko has been out of the public eye since his release from the Gigiri Police cell where he was confined pending court hearings.

The once flashy Governor who was very vocal and enjoyed a healthy relationship between both the President and his Deputy, found himself falling from grace to grass. He' s been a friend of the court in the recent past facing several corruption charges during his tenure as the Nairobi County Governor

Today, the Standard newspaper wrote about Sonko describing his past stature in different ways. However, the former Governor has asked the media to let him live his life in peace and stated how newspaper and the media cartels are really missing him.

The Standard newspaper wrote on how Sonko struggled from a land broker to a seat at the high table. How Sonko had it all, from money to power and now he is fighting court cases.

Standard newspaper described Sonko as a man who lived in the house of glass. How his alcohol and Matatu businesses gave him a taste of popularity propelling him to the top of the city politics and beyond.
