It is now crystal clear that we are only remaining with eight months and Kenyans will be once again granted the one and only opportunity to elect leaders of their own choices to represent them. In Migori county, the race to succeed the outgoing governor Zedekiah Obado who is serving his last constitutional term has been gaining momentum.
The prestigious Migori county gubernatorial seat has attracted the likes of the Migori county Women Representative Pamela Odhiambo, Senator Ochillo Ayacko, former Rongo Member of Parliament Dalmas Otieno, John Dacho Pesa, Edick Anyanga, Philip Ogari, Owiso Ngao, Christopher Rusana, Migori County Assembly Speaker Boaz Okoth and Seth Odongo. This is one of the heavily contested seat in the county.
From the current political activities and events in Migori county, the race to succeed Obado is likely going to be tough between Senator Ochillo Ayacko and Women Representative Pamela Odhiambo. The two have been crisscrossing the county to popularize their different gubernatorial bids.

In addition to that, Ochillo Ayacko was earlier endorsed by some Kuria elders giving him an added advantage over other aspirants. On the other hand, Pamela Odhiambo has been traversing the county to urge people especially women and youths to vote for her as their next governor in 2022.
