Big Blow To DP Ruto As Uhuru Attacks Him After Unveiling His Manifesto

Following the 30th June release of William Ruto's manifesto, President Kenyatta has taken another swipe at him. The Head of State has criticized his DP for making promises to revamp the economy but failing to follow through on them during his nine years as the Deputy President.

He praised CS Peter Munya for bringing about new reforms in the agriculture docket and questioned DP Ruto's track record in the same area while he was serving as the agriculture minister under the Kibaki administration.

He has urged Kenyans to cast wise ballots so that the incoming leadership will promote economic expansion and the continuation of ongoing initiatives. He was speaking at KICC's annual Cooperative Day.

Before leaving power in the upcoming 37 days, Uhuru has promised to inaugurate the Luanda Cotton Factory in Busia. With DP planning to reverse some of Uhuru's agenda, especially those in the Large Four agenda, the rift between the two big wings has persisted.
