Residents of Migori County have told President Ruto that the Hustler’s Fund is not enough to start a business. They say the money is too little that immediately one receives it, it is only food they think about.

They claim that despite the money being capped at Ksh. 50,000, many Kenyans are only allowed to get below Ksh. 1000. They say the fund is a great move by the government but there are a number of things that were not put into the consideration.
“We thank the President for the Hustler’s Fund but we would like to tell him that this money is not for business. We have tried to access the loan and what most of us are getting is below Ksh. 1000. That money cannot start a reasonable business that can transform one’s life,” they have said.

Many people have been saying that the loan is not as good as it has been praised to be. Many leaders in the opposition have told the President that Hustler’s Fund is not what he promised in the campaigns.
They say Hustler’s Fund does not have a big difference with what is being provided by digital lenders who have been in business for some time now.
