Dennis Itumbi and other bloggers, according to renowned blogger Robert Alai, are grabbing onto his narratives and preaching them as their own.Taking to his social media pages, Alai contends that he was the first person to raise concerns about the alleged plans to weaken Raila Odinga and limit his influence to his Luo Nyanza backyard.
"I talked of clipping the wings of baba, and now everyone talks of it. You don't have to tweet much to impact," reads part of a tweet by Alai.
Alai promised to change the story about the cutting of Raila's influence, and the bloggers will follow suit.
Alai's sentiments comes only hours after UDA-aligned blogger Dennis Itumbi stated in an early morning social media post that, in a move to clip Odinga's wings, Interior CS Fred Matiang'i will launch a political party on Saturday, to take out the Kisii support from Odinga.Itumbi, a former statehouse employee, moved camps to DP Ruto's Jubilee wing a few years ago. Within the DP's rank and file, he serves as a digital strategist where he heads an amorphous group called Hustlers Intelligence Bureau. The bureau, he claims, has all the inside information in all the happenings in government, both covert and overt.
To some, his disclosures are full of conjecture, hearsay, and political propaganda aimed at swaying public opinion. However, in giving the devil his due, some of his assertions come true.
