Ruto and his Kenya Kwanza team began the busy day with a tour to Murang'a County where they held an Economic Forum with area residents for more than 3 hours. It was after the meeting that the team left for Nyeri County for a series of campaigns rallies.
It was however the chopper carrying the three legislators that landed first in Nyeri. Among the legislators identified by the time of writing were Malindi MP Aisha Jumwa and Starehe MP Charles Njagua (Jaguar).
After their chopper landed, one of the famous UDA cameramen Peter Kamau (alias The Don), crossed over from where the media team were standing to receive the UDA legislators.
Shortly after the MPs had alighted from the chopper and were crossing the field to the crowd, another chopper that was carrying Deputy President William Ruto arrived.
This was when the three legislators were left with no option but to run for safety, paving way for the DP's chopper which landed where they were walking.
The Kenya Kwanza team then proceeded with their tour of Nyeri, making their first stopover at Karatina Town, Mathira County to address the crowd.
