According to Maina Kamanda, he has said that Mt Kenya people should desist from being deceived by the DP when he is giving out wheelbarrows, saying that he is only doing so in the President's backyard, yet, in his home place there is nothing like such.
Mr. Kamanda has claimed that the only thing DP Ruto wants from the Mt Kenya region are the votes to get him to the Presidency, claiming that after he wins in the year 2022, he will abandon the region.
"People of Central region, I want to tell you the truth that don't be deceived by those little donations you are being given. You are being cheated that you shall be considered in next government but things will be totally different. Why are wheelbarrows only given to you yet he has never given such in his community. Reject those wheelbarrows. Let's rally our support behind Raila Odinga[Baba]," Maina Kamanda has said.
"The best leader is Baba, Us as the Jubilee and ODM, we have decided to support Raila Odinga. We shall support him until he clings to the Presidency," Kamanda added.
