Senator Ledama Olekina on twitter says that it's absolutely absurd for the speaker of National assembly to ask MPs to initiate debate on fuel prices yet they are the ones who raised taxes.
According to him, senate does not participate in passing the finance act.This is what he posted on twitter,
"It’s absolutely absurd for the speaker of @NAssemblyKE to ask MPs to initiate debate on fuel prices yet they are the ones who raised taxes! @Senate_KE does not participate in passing the finance act! @citizentvkenya why now during an election year ? #wajingasisi."
A fan replied saying,"So that the debate can take around 6months for the bilk to go nowhere,for a commission to be formed. in the meantime allowancies are getting in and Tims is moving. But don't you all think it's inflation USD ksh hit 110 the other day."
Another fan replied saying,"Bro we want fuel prices bought down by any means possible ... election year or not we don't care .Let the speaker go ahead with his plans."
