The political temperatures in Kenya are rising as we are remaining with less than 4 months before the 9th General elections.
Former prime Minister Raila picked Martha Karua as his preferred running mate while Ruto picked Rigathi Gachagua as his preferred running mate.
Both of the two have the potential of making good deputies. But comparing the decisions made, Raila made the best. Azimio flag bearer naming Martha his running mate adds credits on him.
In Kenya we have never had a female vice or deputy president, but if Baba will be elected as Kenya's 5th president then definitely Martha Karua will become the first female deputy president in Kenya.
Women and other activities have been championing for equal rights in both girls and boys and this could be a good deal for them.
Raila has excirsed gender equality by picking Martha Karua as his running mate. Martha also comes from the Mount Kenya region which has over 7 million votes, and this communicates a lot.
Lastly Martha Karua was the favorite and most preferred candidate according to the Azimio supporters, this shows their love for her.
