Vocal Advocate Breaks Silence After Some Azimio Bigwigs Skipped Ruto's Homabay Visit

The move by some top Nyanza politicians to snub president Ruto's church service at Homabay AIC church has elicited mixed reactions from Kenyans across both sides of the political divide. For instance, the county boss Gladys Wanga apologized for his absence citing to have travelled outside the country on official duty.

Homabay Town MP Peter Kaluma also said he couldn't join President William Ruto for a church service at the AIC church.

"I'm unable to be with you due to lack of means. Let there be better coordination in future so that the MP whose Constituency you're visiting has information and is available to receive you."

However, one of the top lawyers Steve Ogolla has broken silence and faulted the leaders citing this is a big loss to the electorate and not members of the political class.

"Luo Nyanza. Listen. I'm an Advocate. Like our leaders, I am comfortable, regardless of whatever administration in power. But that's not the case for most of our people. So it truly pains me to see our leaders skip the the President's visit to the region, instead of attending and lobbying for additional resources that can benefit our poor people. Anyway, ni sawa," he wrote on his Facebook page.
