Today, 10th August, 2022 marks the second day of votes counting in the Republic of Kenya. Yesterday, 9th August 2022 Republic of Kenya held their Genaral elections across the country. The polling stations were open at 6 in the morning and closed at 5 on the evening. However, some of Polling stations extended voting hours due to hiccups that were experienced.
The top most seat ( presidental seat) was being contest by four presidential candidates. Roots Party - Professor George Wajackoyah, Angano party Waihiga Mwaura, United Democratic Movement ( Kenya kwanza) WilliamRuto, and Azimio La Umoja Presidential Candidate Raila Amollo Odinga.
The media stations were allowed by Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) to protect provisional results from their Portol (IEBC portal). Across the country several media stations (Citizen TV, Ntv, KTN News among others) have taken that challenge by the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission.
As per the Nation provisional results, Roots party Professor George Wajackoyah has garned 24,228 votes which is equivalent to 0.42%. Remember these are just but provisional results final results will be announced by Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC).
