" I Am A Bad Loser," Atwoli Says As He Clarifies Why He Has Never Run For An Elective Seat

The vocal and highly-opinionated COTU boss Francis Atwoli has clarified why he has never run for any political seat in Kenya and might never consider running for it in future despite his massive influence in the political scenes.

Speaking to Jeff Koinange on a live interview at Citizen Tv, Atwoli said that he fears losing elections as his opponents might outcompete him. He said that he rather be a supporter as well as an onlooker while Kenyans go into elections.

“I have never run for the elective seat [political office] because I fear being defeated. Yes, it is fear of failure and to be very honest, I am a bad loser. I don’t like losing because when I lose I can’t eat. So I better stay in the corner where I am safe,” he said.

Atwoli was recently installed as the Luhya community coordinator due to his influence. Recently the post was held by Musalia Mudavadi but was thrown out from the position.
