The Mount Kenya Foundation after a long silence has finally decided to support Raila Odinga for the presidential seat come 2022. The foundation is planning to hold a meeting of leaders on Wednesday in which they will endorse the former prime minister.
After the meeting, the leaders will then publicly announce that Raila is their preferred candidate ahead of Raila's mega event at Kasarani on Friday 10. The foundation has in the past stood with Mai Kibaki and his successor Uhuru Kenyatta. Once they give you their support, you are with no doubt the winner of the elections.
Raila and Ruto have both been fighting over the Mt Kenya region and many people had said that Ruto has the majority of the region at his grasp. However, the revelation of the MKF by The Star Kenya has killed the hopes of many. Let's wait and see how things will turn out.
