A young lady was given an opportunity to give a speech and she said, "Your Excellency, as youths there are challenges we are facing and this generation is tomorrow's leadership. These mothers have children that will be the leaders of tomorrow. We are requesting you to give youths opportunities in the government once we elect you as our president."
She continued, "We promise to vote for you on the election day. Na wewe Ruto tukikupea kura Usituruke, hakuna kuturuka. If there will be vacancies for the youths please don't deny them."
Her statement made everyone in the meeting burst into a laughter including the Deputy President.
She also added that people of Ukambani are still struggling with water problem. She revealed that women have to walk for over tweny kilometres to get water. She asked the DP to do something for them to be relieved.
