Kenya’s political veteran Raila Odinga presently has many friends but In the list William Ruto’s name misses not because the pen ran out of ink but because the duo are ideologically immiscible. Their enmity was intensified when Jakom infiltrated Jubilee government’s bowels with BBI call thrusting them further.
Raila and Uhuru Kenyatta were lead pro-BBI crusaders with Ruto and his liutenants alighning themselves against the report and that it stood for. Earlier this year, William vowed to stop ‘Reggae’ should those propelling it fail to ‘behave’.
Speaking with a local media weeks alter ODM boss who is the pioneer of 201 constitution amendment bill unknowingly blessed Ruto and this blessings has turned practical three months later. Raila wished William well in his quest to turn ‘Reggae’ music off playing.
“Whoever thought that Ruto was going to oppose (BBI)? He first said he was supporting (it) then he began growing hot and cold. Now he says he is opposed to it. He says he is going to stop reggae. We wish him all the best,” Odinga said.
In a ruling concerning the legitimacy of BBI, High Court of Kenya termed the report unconstitutional and to Ruto, this was the much awaited news but to Raila it was a setback, things would have maybe been different if Jakom did not wish William well.
