It is known to many people who lived during the Nyayo time under the leadership of KANU led by the late President Daniel Toroitich arap Moi that milk was supplied to all Primary schools in the country. This was aimed at eradicating mulnutrition as well as promoting basic learning in the country.
Uasin Gishu business tycoon and politician Hon Zedekiah Kiprop Bundotich (Buzeki) has announced that he will be running for the Uasin Gishu gubernatorial seat in 2022 general election. He was defeated during the 2017 General election by incumbent Governor Jackson Mandago.
Hon Buzeki being a popular Rift Valley politician has not made it public on the party he will be using to claim the seat. However, he has a close relationship with the country's Deputy President William Ruto who seem to have a greater influence in the region among the top politicians and already declared presidential candidate.
Taking to his Facebook account, Buzeki promised the residents that he will establish a milk processing plant in the county which will aid in providing milk to ECDE's schools twice per week.
