Nyali Member of Parliament Mohammed Ali visited his father's grave to pray for him at attending the Eid Prayers in the mosque. The vocal legislator revealed that for the last 15 years, he has been visiting his father's grave to remind himself of death as well as life after.
In the photos that the former journalist shared, he is seen praying near the grave while dressed in a white kanzu. He also cut the weed that was sprouting around the grave using a panga.
Mohammed Ali's father died in 2007 as indicated on his grave. He was born in 1924 and died at the age of 83.
Sharing the photos on social media, he wrote, ''Today after the Eid Prayers I visited my Dad’s grave to pray for him. This is my 15th year of visiting the graveyard, reflecting and reminding myself of death as well as life after. May Allah have mercy on him and those who have gone ahead of us, and those who come later on, and we shall, God willing join them. Ameen.
