Today DP Ruto addressed Kenyans after a church service at Africa Inland Church (AIC) in Kinangop constituency in Nyandarua county. The clergy offered divine leadership and immaculately interpreted the scripture for the congregation to shape the community’s behaviour and approaches to political issues.
Ruto promised to continue partnering with the church in providing valuable guidance to the society. He also presented a school bus to Ol'joro-rok Mixed Day and Boarding Primary School through a launching at the Lion's Heart Football Club for the youth.
On the other hand Uhuru Kenyatta ended his week by touring the Nairobi metropolis to launch several healthcare, roads and water projects. He also spoke to residents of Mathare in Nairobi county after launching a Level 2 hospital and fresh water supply project in the area.
The head of state reiterated the government's commitment to ensure equitable distribution of national resources through the BBI process and told off politicians preaching divisive politics. Uhuru also officially opened the Kiamaiko dispensary and Huruma Community Water Supply Project in Mathare. He rallied area residents to support the BBI saying the process will ensure equitable distribution of State resources across the country and cautioned wananchi against falling prey to divisive politics.
The President told off leaders who are using doublespeak to divide Kenyans for selfish gains saying the Government's focus is the unity and development of the country.
However, Ruto's ally, Boni Khalwale has shared a photo of the two separate events held by the president and his deputy. In his statement he said that the boss and his deputy have held separate functions in Mount Kenya this weekend. He ended his remarks by saying that is all what he had.
His remarks attracted the wrath of many Kenyans. Some asked him in 2027 in the run-up to to gubernatorial contest of Kamamega, he pulled huge crowds, but did it made him a govener? A science student like him should be excited about small things they added.
Others told him the boss went to launch projects but Ruto had gone to campaign and that is a notable difference. Another group said that let him tell Ruto that the Mount Kenya people are just entertaining him and he will be in for a ride shock.
