As 2022 general elections scheduled to take place on August next year, the Independent Electoral Board Commission (IEBC) led by Hon. Wafula Chebukati has today issued an announcement on the amount of money they want the Parliament to add in the next supplementary budget as details emerge.
The IEBC now wants the Parliament to allocate it an extra Ksh. 14.4 billion in the supplementary budget. According to recent reports, IEBC has been raising their complains to the government that the amount of money allocated to them is insufficient in carrying out the general elections scheduled to take place next year.
The statement from IEBC concerning addition of 14.4 billion shillings in the supplementary budget will force Kenyans to incur a lot since they will be forced to pay more tax. The statement has left Kenyans shocked wondering what all this amount of money is meant do?.
